About the team
Our Brand & Content team is a group of social media experts, newsletter writers, designers, copywriters, and event pros—all working together to build a world-class brand creators love. We focus on growing Teachable’s reach, connecting with new and existing audiences, and using content, design, and in-person experiences to drive awareness, generate leads, and deepen engagement.
What is the role?
We’re looking for a Motion Designer (Visual Designer Strategist) to join our Brand & Content team. This role is focused on designing and producing motion graphics, product animations, short- and long-form social content, GIFs, and more—all that capture attention, reflect our brand, and drive engagement across Teachable’s social platforms.
This is an individual contributor role (not a management role). You’ll collaborate closely with designers, copywriters, product marketers, and social media managers to transform ideas into visually compelling content—ranging from product animations that highlight key features to video series that spotlight creator success stories. Your work will play a key role in how creators discover, understand, and connect with Teachable.
In this role, you will:
- Design and produce motion graphics, product demos, product feature animations, social animations, GIFs, and short-form video assets for Teachable’s social channels.
- Translate static creative concepts into engaging motion content that supports campaigns, launches, product storytelling, and evergreen social content.
- Collaborate with the social media manager and brand designer to ensure content aligns with Teachable’s visual identity and social strategy.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality assets.
- Stay current on motion design, animation, and social media trends to keep our content fresh and innovative.
- Optimize creative for different platforms (Instagram, YouTube + YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, etc.).
What you’ll bring:
- 4+ years of professional experience in motion design, with a strong portfolio showcasing social-first content and product-focused animations.
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Canva, and other relevant design tools.
- Expertise in creating short-form animations, product walkthroughs, motion graphics, and GIFs for social media.
- Strong design sensibility with attention to detail, typography, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to adapt to brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with marketers, designers, and content creators.
- Self-starter with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Nice to have:
- Experience working in SaaS, edtech, or within the creator economy.
- Familiarity with video editing tools (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar).
- Knowledge of current trends in motion design, animation, and social media.
