Global Marketing Director

As the Global Marketing Director at Nubank, you will have the opportunity to build and structure the Global Brand team from the ground up, forming a lean team to drive our brand strategy. Key collaborative efforts will involve working closely with local market teams, product development teams, strategic partners, and senior leadership. Your role will demand high levels of communication and alignment to adapt global branding strategies to meet local needs effectively.
About the role Nubank is seeking a Global Marketing Director to lead the development and implementation of our global brand strategy as we accelerate international expansion. This is a critical new role, focused on ensuring consistency and excellence in how our brand is expressed across markets, while supporting local relevance and execution.
Key responsibilities and expectations
- Lead the development and governance of our global brand architecture, including naming systems, positioning, visual and verbal identity, and multi-sensory brand elements. Define and roll out foundational brand guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability across markets. Partner with local teams to advise on brand-relevant initiatives, offering strategic and technical guidance. Design and manage global marketing governance processes to ensure effective decision-making and brand integrity across geographies. Build and evolve a lean Global Brand team, ensuring collaboration and alignment with local and regional marketing functions. Define clear KPIs for global brand consistency, governance efficiency, and market enablement.

Qualifications and competencies
- 15 years of experience in marketing with a strong emphasis on brand strategy and execution in global contexts. Demonstrated success building and scaling global brand functions and navigating complex, high-growth environments.
- Experience leading marketing/brand teams across multiple regions and aligning local and global execution.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; Portuguese and Spanish are a plus.
