Design, develop, test, and deliver high-quality open source software operations code primarily using Python and Golang.
Work across the Linux technology stack, including the kernel, networking, storage, virtualization, containers, and applications.
Build and improve open source infrastructure for monitoring, alerting, automation, and reliable operations.
Help rethink and modernize open source operations to address the evolving needs of customers and the broader open source community.
Apply strong software engineering principles across architecture, implementation, testing, documentation, performance, and maintainability.
Follow agile software development practices and contribute to efficient, high-quality delivery.
Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams to solve complex infrastructure and software operations challenges.
Coach and support colleagues by sharing technical knowledge and practical engineering insights.

Strong professional experience as a software engineer, with particular expertise in Python development.
Passion for building reliable, maintainable, and high-quality software and a strong understanding of the importance of dependable operations in an agile environment.
Practical knowledge of Linux and networking, with an interest in working across the broader Linux stack.
Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies.
Strong engineering judgment, with demonstrated attention to software quality, correctness, testing, documentation, and performance.
Excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to delivering software on time and to a high standard.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a globally distributed team.
Curiosity and a lifelong-learning mindset, with enthusiasm for exploring new technologies and solving complex technical challenges.
Golang programming experience is a valuable advantage.
A university degree in Computer Science, software engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
