Responsabilidades
- Provide accurate, clear, and effective simultaneous or consecutive interpretation between two or more official languages during conferences, meetings, and field missions.
- Apply the working conditions and professional standards applicable to international and United Nations-related meetings and conferences.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team of conference interpreters, supporting smooth and consistent interpretation services throughout assignments.
- Take the lead within an interpreting team when required, coordinating effectively with colleagues during assignments.
- Handle sensitive, confidential, or high-level meetings with a high degree of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
- Maintain concentration, accuracy, and clarity throughout demanding interpretation assignments and under time pressure.
- Use relevant digital tools, computer hardware, software, and virtual conferencing technologies to support interpretation activities.
Requisitos
- University degree in Interpretation, Translation, Linguistics, Languages, or a related field, or an equivalent diploma from a recognized institution of advanced education.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in conference, particularly simultaneous, interpretation.
- Native-level command of at least one of the six official languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish.
- Ability to interpret accurately from at least two additional official languages.
- Strong communication, analytical, judgment, decision-making, planning, organizational, and service-oriented skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within diverse international teams.
- Strong digital fluency and confidence using computer hardware and software.
- Experience with remote interpretation platforms is an advantage.
- Familiarity with video conferencing platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams is desirable.
